Job Description

Hi, my name is Devin, and I LOVE making content. Seriously. And I want to find someone who loves it too!

We are hiring an ambitious, in-house content creator and poster who understands that strong video is not just about filming and editing, but about performance. This role blends videography, content strategy, scripting, and analysis. The right person cares about why content works, studies high-performing creators, and actively applies what they learn to improve results. The better you are in this role, the more you will be paid.

This is a part-time role with real upside. The base pay is stable, but the intent is clear. If you help grow views, engagement, and subscribers, you will make more money. Performance matters here.

What You Will Do

You will be responsible for filming, editing and posting both short-form and long-form video content. You will set up cameras, lighting, audio, and backdrops, and maintain a clean, repeatable in-house video setup that allows us to produce content efficiently and consistently.

You will analyze our best-performing videos as well as content from other creators in our space. Your job is to identify patterns in hooks, pacing, structure, tone, and delivery, then turn those insights into repeatable content series. This includes reviewing performance metrics such as views, watch time, engagement, and subscriber growth, and using that data to guide what we create next.

You will write and prepare scripts, outlines, and hooks. Scripts must be clear, intentional, and aligned with our brand voice. You are expected to think through structure and logic, proofread everything, and refine ideas before filming. The goal is to reduce wasted takes and improve retention.

You are also expected to keep learning. This role requires someone who actively studies video and podcast content. You should be able to clearly explain what you watch or listen to, why it is effective, and which techniques you are currently working to improve. Learning without application is not enough. We expect to see ideas tested in real content.

Performance-Based Compensation

This role includes a base hourly rate depending on experience. In addition, you will earn performance-based pay tied to measurable outcomes such as increased views, engagement, subscriber growth, and the success of content series you help develop. Strong performance will be rewarded with the ability to double your annual salary. This is intentional and non-negotiable.

Who This Role Is For

This role is for someone who is self-motivated, coachable, and comfortable receiving direct feedback. You should care about improving your craft, not just completing tasks. You should be organized, reliable, and capable of working independently while staying aligned with clear goals. If you enjoy testing ideas, analyzing results, and getting better every week, you will do well here.

Experience and Skills

You must have real videography and editing experience and be able to show past work. You should understand how short-form content works, especially hooks and retention. You should be comfortable thinking in terms of performance metrics, even if you are still developing that skill. Strong communication and writing skills are required.

How to Apply: Three-Step Process

1. Email your highlight reel or portfolio of video work to devin@pineapplehi.com. Applications without a reel will not be considered.

2. Submit a short video explaining why you would be a good fit for this role. This video should demonstrate how you communicate, how you think about content, and your comfort on camera.

3. Share where and how you learned your video skills. This can include self-teaching, creators you study, podcasts you follow, courses you have taken, or real-world experience. Be specific and honest.

Final candidates will be asked to complete a paid test project to evaluate real-world capability. Resumes matter less than results.

Pay: $20.00 - $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20.0 – 40.0 per week

Work Location: In person
